The Very First Goodnight Poem Made Just For Me... Only For Me :)

I'm oh so overwhelmed and flattered with this one. He said he always say goodnight in a poetic way. I'm lucky to have this new found friend of mine from Washington. Ellijah Burgos is the name and he is a Latino Burgos :) We became friends in facebook and we did chitchat until he dropped off to his bed. HAHA LOL. He's just 15. So i told him to call me 'Ate Yasmin'. And he said, I should call him 'Hermanito'-Little Brother in Spanish.

This is the short poem he made:

"Goodnight, and may the path to salvation and the road to freedom find you,
no matter how hard, no matter if it shows up behind you.
The path is hard to find and take,
but it's even harder to ignore and not to partake.
You seem like a good person to me,
that is enough for me, you will see.
You are Ate Yasmin, my older sister at heart,
you felt like my older sister from the very start.
Again, I say goodnight.
Despite the fact that over there it is day,
I say goodnight to thee, now I must go away."

Rain Rain Go Away! Rainy Saturday

Today, September 26, 2009. I've decided to do my grocery and buy something and everything that I can eat whenever hunger strikes and my tummy commands me to eat. My budget? Haha. 300php. And luckily, still got 50php left in my cute little froggy coin purse. T.T and still, I was able to go home safe... Because its raining so hard outside. Wet floor of malls, flooded streets. Traffic. Busy people. Flying umbrellas. Gawd! Super bagyo! @_@ But because I wanted to have some stocks of chicha in my room, I still pursued to go out in the rain. *freezing cold*

Falling in love is like...

This time, I would like to share to you my English composition that I wrote when I was still in first year college...

Someone could easily escape from a gun, but he can never avoid the bullet. Just like in love.

You could easily avoid the person but never the love that strikes the heart. Saying that you will never fall in love is like saying that you will never smile. No matter how hard you try not to; someone is going to come along your way and make you smile.

Love... it is a terribly misunderstood emotion. Although highly desirable malfunction of the heart which causes cheeks to glow, weakens the brain, eyes to sparkle, blood pressure to rise and lips to pucker. Right?

For me, falling in love is like shopping because you may find a good person whom you thought is the right one but then again in the end, you will find yourself not contented and you will begin searching for a better one over and over again. Applying this principle, "No return. No exchange". It is like passing an obstacle course because to prove your love for someone, you need to pass all the challenges that might come in your way. Falling in love is also like the rain for me because it comes when you least expect it. Then leaves right just when you are starting to enjoy it. They say falling in love is like babysitting because you do not know what's really going on in a baby's mind. You cannot predict what he might react towards you and a baby usually has its mood swings. As a baby sitter, you can easily be annoyed of his mood swings and sometimes, it is you who ceaselessly swings mood but though, you still care for the baby. But in spite of all the sadness that love gives us, I can still say that falling in love is a very magical experience which gives a huge feeling of happiness and amazement of how that person turned your boring life into days filled with vibrancy and bliss. But then again, there will come a time that the magic will wear off and the happiness once felt will be gone and pain will replace. The battle will be to move on and find love once again. But remember that things are never lost completely; they are put away, misplaced or taken by someone else. Sometimes, they are transformed into something else. Just like the love that you have for someone who has gone. That love does not disintegrate. One day when you least expect it, you will find that things are less achy. You will be amazed on how much the heart can bear. And yes! You will be grateful for all that you have lost and all that you have found in time.

So remember, you can never escape the feeling of falling in love. Though you do not want it, you still have no choice but to do so. We will be encountering this phase of life no matter what.

---The grade that my professor gave me in this composition is only 14/20. HAHAHA! In this activity, we were given this peer editing checklist and my partner is Joni (as usual). I'm the Writer, she's the Editor. She said that the sentence that she like in the essay is this; "Saying you'll never fall in love is like saying that you'll never smile. (almost all part is interesting)". Credits to Shane's love quotes and random thoughts of my random friends :] (yes I've used some of them just to make my composition long)

My New Haircut

Last September 15, 2009, Daryll and I had our new haircut at David's Salon. Wew! At first, I had second thoughts if I'm still going to have my hair cut because I remember what Ranie said to me... "isipin mo na lang ako yung mga nalalaglag na buhok"... "pag nagpakulay ka ng buhok, magpakita ka sakin pag itim na ulit, pag nagpagupit ka, magpakita ka sakin pag mahaba na ulit". I almost felt like stepping out of the salon just right when that lady ask me if I would also like to have a haircut. I had my hair cut in Asian Style, with full bangs. And I think Daryll ran out of words to say when he saw my full bangs. HAHA. But he said that my hair was fine and he likes it. But too bad... Ranie doesn't like it at all. He teases me everytime he see me with my bangs... Saying that my hair is ugly and the style doesn't look good on me especially the bangs. And that's why I felt really bad and conscious. I never went outside with my bangs covering my eyes. I always clip it on so Ranie won't make fun of me. PS: and oh by the way, I really enjoy the massage that the hairdresser's assistant gave me. She's my new found friend :) and the 3x shampooing of my hair, I enjoyed it too. That costs 157php. Wew. For that ugly haircut

Haha! While I'm lying in my bed, I remember all those crazy names my friends used to call me. Gee. I can't stop reminiscing. And thinking of where did those names came from. Came out from nowhere uh! :D Some of them are good to hear, while the others, nah. I'll punch you in the face if you keep repeating and calling and shouting that name :) LOL And to name some, let me list them up:

YEYE- my childhood nickname. silly relatives of mine. i wonder where the hell did they get this name

PONYANG- from my tito Leo and yaya Ruby. they call me Ponyang because ages ago, i was ohhh sooo malnourished-like-super-thin small kid. just like of that comic character Ponyang that I've never layed my eyes on!

ATENG- name that my papa used to call me... and it's because of the fact that I'm his eldest daughter. [well, If I'll just consider my step sis in the scenario, if not, i would be the only daughter. Don't bother. I ain't bitter]

YAM- okay so here is the story behind this name. Way back HS times, when I was in 4th year hs, I have this friend of mine who loves to make fun of everyone's name. Not to mention that he is RASHID BASSEM P. ALMONAJED. Yes. Not to mention him! HAHA. And lucky me! I belong to those lucky chosen ones! He loves to put -ers on everybody's name. He called me Yasmin Burgosers... Then later on, became Yasmin Burgers. Then Yas Burgers... Then Yam Burgers :)

YASMOWN MAMOWN- *nothin to say* just ask RASHID :D

YASMONDRAGON- uhm. Rashid, would you mind telling my readers the origin of this name that you gave me? HAHAHA! LOL

YASMUNING- because I look like a cat? Hmmm.
